Is there an age limit for using a Segway gyropod?
It is possible to pilot a gyropod easily from 12 years old! It should weigh between 45 kilos and 118 kilos. These are the worldwide data of the manufacturer, Segway Inc, to ensure the safety of users.
How does the Segway gyropod "balance itself"?
5 gyroscopic micro-sensors, 2 accelerometers, 2 computers, 4 electric motors: the electronics manage the balance for you!
What is the speed of a Segway gyropod?
Up to 20 km/hour. The speed is however moderate in the city center up to 6 km/h. You don't have to go fast to get the feeling of sliding.
Can I fall while riding a Segway gyropod?
Even though it is rare, it is always possible to fall, just like on foot or on a bike. However, the Segway gyropod fully manages your balance, you just have to be aware of what is happening around you. Mobilboard instructors provide training and guidance to enjoy the tour safely.
What is the autonomy of a Segway gyropod?
Up to 38 km per charge depending on the model. The autonomy is variable according to many criteria such as temperature, driving style or tire pressure.
