Gyropods can be hard to get your head around. Introduced to the public as the Segway in 2001, it was renamed the Gyropod in 2008, to distinguish between the brand and the device. Dean Kamen is the inventor of this revolutionary EDPM motorized personal mobility device, which enables users to move around freely while standing upright; it's a two-wheeled parallel vehicle with a platform on which the driver stands. It's intuitive to drive, with no need for handles or pedals to accelerate!

Last but not least, the Segway (a US product) is the only gyropod on the market to feature technological redundancy. In other words, all the components that ensure proper stability and traction are duplicated.

Although more expensive than some other brands of gyropods, we've chosen to use the Segway ® gyropod, the real thing, the original and the safest on the market. If you're going to try out a gyropod, you might as well do it in the safest possible conditions!
